Basic Computer System
Computers are easy if you have the basic information you need to use them. This section of the web site isn't for the young people who grew up with a mouse in their hot little hand. This section is for the baby boomers who grew up in the BC (Before Computers) era. I graduated from high school in the early 1970's. Younger people find it hard to believe that the high school did not have a computer on the premises in that long ago time.

The biggest revolution between that era and the present is the tremendous growth of the personal computer in importance to our daily lives. Computer games, photos, music, email, internet have all evolved in the last thirty years, and most of the growth has been in the last ten or so.

In this section I will dissect a computer and show you all its parts. I will give you lots of basic information about the components that make up a basic computer system, like the mouse, keyboard, monitor and so forth. I also hope to progress into some of the newer things that are introduced which are constantly making the computer easy to use and expand the uses of it.

You shouldn't be afraid of the computer. It is a friend about which the more basic informtion you have the better use you will be able to make of one.
